Sometimes we all get stuck in that “2 steps forward – 3 steps back” dance that makes us feel like we are going nowhere fast. It can be discouraging to feel like any forward momentum we have is canceled out by the subsequent backsliding. I don’t know that there is anyone who is immune to it – it happens to everyone at some point. And it will eventually stop;  a time will come when it is “3 steps forward – 2 steps back” and then “lots of steps forward and only an occasional step back.” It may help to remember that it is, after all, just a temporary interlude in which we get to practice our dance steps.
