Daily Bliss #20131224
This time of year we hear a lot of messages (and often feel some pressures) about gift giving. In contrast, there are also the timeless messages about simplicity and remembering what the season is really about. As I ponder it all, I can’t help but think of one of my favorite stories of all time, “A Christmas Carol,” by Charles Dickens, and the message about holding the Christmas spirit in our hearts all the days of the year. So when it comes to the giving and receiving of gifts I plan to be gracious with my intention and thankful for my opportunities to partake in both. When it comes to simplicity and celebrating the meaning of the season, I plan to be gracious with my intention and thankful for my life, its comforts, and that I choose to be rich in spirit. You are invited. May your holidays be merry and bright!
