Daily Bliss #20140321
How do you feel about making decisions? If you’re like most people, some are probably easy and require little thought, while others may feel so big and heavy that making a choice feels like an Olympic event. While we never claim to have the answers, it is our hope that this series of bliss will cause you to pause and consider your process and maybe even give you a helpful way to think about things. Please feel free to weigh in; we love comments.
Here is a trick I learned from my husband, and I love it. When you can’t seem to make a decision, flip a coin. Say, “If it comes up heads, I choose X.” That isn’t the end though. Whatever the coin comes up, the key is to pay attention to how you feel about it. If the coin comes up heads and you feel relieved or happy, maybe there was something in the way that was not allowing you to realize that X WAS your decision. Or if you find yourself disappointed or wishing that it had come up the other way, perhaps you know what your real decision is.
