Let your friends help you. Graciously accept their offerings, knowing that the best way to pay them back is to pay it forward in the future. The timing is inconsequential – if it take a week, that is fine; if it takes 5 or 10 years, that is also fine. Say thank you at the time, and pay it forward when you can.
