A day at a time
Here is where my comfort lies. At the end of the day I ask myself, “Did I do my best today?” If the answer is yes, I take comfort in the knowledge that I did my best, and that is the best I can do. Tomorrow is a new day, and I will attempt to do my best then as well. A day at a time, it is all I can ask, and all I can do. And if my answer is no, then I take comfort in the fact that tomorrow is a new day, and I may begin anew. I will once again attempt to do my best, knowing that if I fall short, the next day is another new day.
