Feel your feelings. Acknowledge them, embrace them, feel them, and then let them go. You don’t get over feelings, you get through them. You can try to sweep them under a rug, but they will probably come back to bite you at a later date. It is much better to face them when they come up. Feelings are not good or bad, they just are. And they are yours, not anyone else’s. Don’t let anyone else try to tell you that you ‘should’ or ‘shouldn’t’ be feeling what you’re feeling. And don’t allow someone else to put a limit on how long you are supposed to feel something. Your feelings are your feelings.
