Do not underestimate the power of a good listener. When everything seems to be going sideways all at once, and you don’t know where to turn, find someone in your tribe (or one of your tribes) who will listen to you talk it all out. It doesn’t have to make sense when you tell it, and they don’t have to have all the answers when you are done. Just saying it all out loud is sometimes enough to calm you down. A good listener will be able to ask a few good questions and perhaps make a few observations that may help clarify things for you. Make sure you are a good listener, and that you use a good listener when needed.
