I think Mark Knopfler said it first, but it has been repeated by many: sometimes you’re the windshield, sometimes you’re the bug. Some days you are on top of the world, some days, not so much. It’s a little easier to come to grips with the down times when you can think about the good times that may be right around the corner. It’s also a little easier to keep from getting too caught up in the good times when you know they can change just as easily as the bad times. This is not to say that you should not enjoy the good times while they are here. Just remember that change is constant, and it goes both ways – good to bad as well as bad to good.
