Change your relationship to what is happening

You can’t change the fact that something is wrong: that you are getting a divorce, that you have a disease, that you lost your job. You can change your relationship to what is happening. You can mourn what is passing, and still look forward to what will replace it. You can acknowledge the bad that you are experiencing, and still look for something good to hold onto. It is not easy, but it IS worth it.
