Do you want to feel better fast? Try doing something for someone else. It is about as easy a prescription as you will ever get. Go down and help out at the soup kitchen; go hold babies in the NICU; rake your neighbor’s leaves; help a friend move…it really doesn’t matter what you do, just get out of your own head and do it. I know it may sound odd, but helping someone else can be an exquisite act of self-care.
