You know that thing you are worrying about? Ideally you could just stop worrying about it altogether, since worrying never helps any situation. And even when you know and believe that, sometimes it is just too hard to lay a worry aside forever. So try this: just for right now, put that worry aside for some time limit that seems do-able. It can be as little as 5 minutes, or as much as a whole day – whatever you think you can handle. And then tomorrow, try to put that worry aside for just a little longer; and the next day put it aside for a little longer. The best case scenario is that you eventually learn you can live without that worry. And the least that can happen is that you find out you can live without that worry for a while.
