Have that hard conversation you’ve been avoiding with your spouse, partner, co-worker, boss, child, or anyone else. It’s scary, and you’ve probably built it up in your head so that you think you know what’s going to be said and what the result is going to be. And maybe it will be that way, but maybe it won’t. Clearing the air may be just what is called for. It’s a good chance that the conversation you have imagined is worse than the reality will be. And afterwards, if you are respectful and speak your truth, you will know where you really stand and not just where you think you stand.
