Sometimes the best way to get over something is to go through it. Just let yourself feel what you need to feel: cry if you need to cry, be scared if you need to be scared, really feel the feelings. And then perhaps you can let it go and be done with it. Or maybe it will need more than one session to get through it. Don’t beat yourself up over what you are feeling. Feelings aren’t inherently good or bad, they just are and they’re yours, so own them. Really acknowledging and feeling them may be the path to getting over them.
