You don’t get “over” your feelings by stuffing them inside and ignoring them. I don’t think you should be trying to “get over” your feelings anyway. You are going to experience a lot of different feelings in your life; you are not going to like some of them. But it is what it is; they are your feelings and it will be important to feel them so that you can get through (not over) them. It is really great to go through life with a positive attitude, and don’t let that positive attitude keep you feeling the negative things that happen to you. It is fine to look for the positive that comes out of the negative, as long as you recognize that it is important to feel ALL your feelings.
