Feel your feelings
Sometimes you have feelings that you don’t want to admit you are having, even to yourself. You might be angry with someone you feel you should not be angry with. Or maybe you are sad, can’t understand why, and don’t want to admit you are feeling that way. But here’s the thing – your feelings are your feelings, whether you feel they are justified or not, whether you admit them or not. And it’s important to acknowledge and feel those feelings, without judging whether they are ‘right’ or not. It is hard, perhaps impossible, to move on until your feelings are acknowledged. You don’t have to act on every feeling you have; in fact it is probably better not to. But do understand and acknowledge them, so that you don’t get stuck, and can get on with your life. How do you make time & space to feel your feelings?
