Give me your time

I don’t need things. You don’t have to give me anything at all, but if you really want to give me something, then give me an hour of your time and your presence so we can knit together, play Scrabble, or drink coffee and talk. The reason I can’t get out doesn’t matter – it could be that I have a baby, a disease, no car, or a million other things. Your willingness to spend your precious time and energy on me means much more to me than anything else you could give me.
