I am here for you

I know that most of the time you rise above this disease that you are going through, and try to live your life to the fullest extent you can, even though this is not how you expected to be living your life at this point.  I hear you say, “It is what it is,” and go about your business. And I do know that once in a while, it is just too much for you to bear, and you go into hibernation and try to come to grips with it. Please know that I am here for you, and I am willing to do whatever it is that you need me to right now. If you prefer to be alone, I will leave you alone and let you deal with this in private. If you need someone to witness what you are going through and to listen to how it is affecting you, I will be there. I can hold your hand, sit with you in silence, scrub your toilets, or go bowling, if that is what will help right now. I can pretend that it is not happening, if you need a break from the reality of it all. I can do research for you, if that is helpful. In short, I am here to do whatever you need me to do. I am here for you.
