People need to be seen and heard, ALL people – old people, young people, in-between people. Please do not marginalize people by ignoring them, or even worse, patronizing them. It is important even for a toddler to feel listened to. It is not important that you agree with everything you hear, but it IS important to take the time to listen. All poor people are not alike, and neither are all rich people necessarily alike. People are individuals, treat them as such.
