Where you came from and what has happened in your life matter because they have helped make you what you are. Look back and learn from the past, but don’t let it define your future. What is to come does not depend on what has been. If the career you want requires that you have some education first, just because you have not yet gotten that education does not mean that you can’t get it now. Your future is filled with possibilities; see them, react to them, embrace them. What aren’t you doing because you think your past precludes it?
