When you are overwhelmed, when you can’t stop the thoughts in your head, when there is too much to do in too little time – find your reset button and use it. Take a time out. Close your eyes for a few minutes. Go somewhere where it is quiet. Maybe put your headphones on and listen to some soothing music for a bit. Do something that takes you away, physically, mentally, or both. A few minutes out of the stress may make it possible for you to get back to what you were doing. Or it may help you to realize that what you were doing isn’t so important after all, and allow you to walk away.
