I can dwell on the bad, or I can dwell on the good. I don’t make the good go away by dwelling on the bad, nor the bad go away by dwelling on the good. I do notice that dwelling on the bad emphasizes the bad, and dwelling on the good emphasizes the good. Since I would rather live surrounded by the good, that is where I will put my attention. That does not mean I do not see any bad, it just means that I prefer not to live there.
