Are you having an “it sucks to be me” day? Been there, done that, still have them occasionally. I wish I could tell you what to do to make it go away and not come back, but it doesn’t appear to be that easy. I could say, “remember there are people that have it worse than you do,” but that thinking doesn’t help me; it just makes me feel very bad for other people. If it helps you, by all means use it! What I have found that helps me is to get out of my head for while. Sometimes that means just getting outside into the fresh air and sun; sometimes it means reaching out to a friend. Sometimes it means letting someone else help me. It really doesn’t matter what you do, as long as it is not self-destructive. Remember: things always change, and this, too, will pass.
