Daily Bliss #193
When I remember the holidays past, my memories are of people and smells and feelings, not so much of things. I remember when I was young and my mother’s family would all gather at her parent’s house on Christmas Day, and it would be barely controlled chaos (which is not so surprising considering there were a LOT of us). There were too many people to sit at one table, so the table would be overflowing with great food, and we ate where we could find a spot to sit. Some of us cousins always sat under the table – it was perfect for us kids, no one could step on us there! It was a long time ago, and I still get warm, fuzzy, happy feelings when I think about it. It is like being wrapped up in family memories. What do you remember about the holidays of your youth?
